As a business owner, your time is valuable and when you get busy, I know exactly what thing tends to hit the back burner – your books. That’s where I come in though. I can help keep your books up-to-date so you can use your time growing your client base or working on that big project that’s due at the end of the month. I truly love bookkeeping and I’m efficient so I can probably do it in half the time that it would take you (no offense).
How long do you spend a month entering in your bills and checks, receiving payments and reconciling your bank accounts and credit cards? Or do you wait until the end of the year and pay a big lump sum to have your tax preparer do it? Wouldn’t it be so much nicer to be able to look at your books on a monthly or quarterly basis and see how you’re doing? See how much income you should be prepared to pay taxes on at the end of the year? See what expenses you’ve gone over budget on? Wouldn’t it be nice to have a nice organized packet to drop off at your tax preparer’s office at the beginning of the year? Or better yet, just have me email them your entire company books so there’s no extra hassle for you or them?
It’s all possible. All you have to do is ask.
There are plenty of options and levels of assistance I can offer. I can work on a weekly basis keeping your up-to-date books – entering your bills, printing your checks for you to sign and making deposits to your bank. I can work on a monthly or quarterly basis where I just enter in everything you’ve already done in that time frame for you so it’s organized and ready for your review. Or, if you’d prefer, I can enter in a year’s worth of activity before you give it all to your tax preparer (though I don’t recommend this route if possible unless there’s only a few transactions a month).
